CS101 Overview:
In this course, participants will learn what Cued Speech is and how to cue the 40 phonemes (sounds) of American English. Using a system of consonant handshapes and vowel placements, participants will learn to cue consonant-vowel pairs along with the natural mouth movements of speech, making spoken language visually distinct.

- Format: One comprehensive overview lesson + 14 detailed online self-study lessons + 4 instructor-led Zoom meetings (1.5 hours each)

Course Agenda and Access:

- After registering, you will receive a Welcome Letter email with instructions on how to access your Canvas Course and Zoom meeting links.
- The Student-Timed agenda, included with Welcome Letter and on Home Page of your course, will outline preparation for each class and topics covered weekly.
- Learners are expected to view and start the course content, in accordance with instructions in Student Timed Agenda, at least 2 calendar DAYS PRIOR to the start Date of your registered offering.
- Course access lasts for 1 year from the date of purchase for ongoing review and practice.
Course Completion Requirements for Certificate
To earn a Cue College Certificate of Completion:

- Complete the Acknowledgement CEU form found in your “Welcome Letter” email
- Read and view all course pages and all course videos, including informational videos, practice drill videos, and practice cueing activities
- Complete all drilling and practice activities and view practice videos at least twice
- Achieve a minimum score of 80% on all 3 multiple choice quizzes (quizzes can be repeated if needed)
- Attend all 4 live Instructor-Led Zoom Sessions (1.5 hr. sessions each)
- Complete all of the requirements listed above and the final Course Evaluation no later than 5 days AFTER the end of your registered course offering.
