Tutor Bio:
Angela learned to cue when she was 7 years old to communicate with her sister who is profoundly deaf. She became a certified instructor in 2001 and has been teaching ever since, at all levels and in many settings. Angela is a nationally certified cued language transliterator and works full time as a freelance CLT. She has experience transliterating in a wide variety of environments and has mentored many new CLT’s. She has experience in evaluating students’ cue reading skills and in teaching cue reading classes. She has passed the NCSA word-level proficiency test and the TECUnit CAECS-E and CAECS-R and has taught many classes in mechanics and other topics that would benefit someone preparing to take such tests. Angela is fairly fluent in ASL, but is not a native user.
